| Hillway Knee is a dynamic and highly accurate anatomical model with a "true-to-life" feel for simulated arthroscopic and open procedures. Skin, muscle, bones and all important ligaments are present. It is durable and may be used many times by simply replacing sacrificed ligaments. Hillway Knee combines the skills of a leading surgeon, a professional sculptor and a plastics moulding expert. For the surgeon's rooms this model is a highly valuable teaching aid for patients about to undergo surgery. | ||

| The acquisition of arthroscopic skills is best undertaken at the earliest stage with a model knee. When advanced arthroscopic surgical techniques are later undertaken, the surgeon is wise to practice beforehand on models. The Hillway Knee is unique in its anatomic accuracy and feel. Normal anatomy is simulated and it is exciting to use. Pathology can be easily simulated by e.g. cutting tears in the menisci. | ||

| The soft outer skin wraps around the muscle to complete the knee. Full theatre simulation with irrigation is now possible. The soft compliant muscle wraps around the inner components simulating human tissue. Inner components include all bones and cartilage. All major ligaments are replaceable.
