The BDA CareLine The British Diabetic Association's CareLine is a confidential service that is able to offer information and support on all aspects of diabetes to people living and caring for those, with the condition. People with diabetes may have excellent health care locally, but still feel the need on occasions, to seek more general help or information, or want to talk anonymously and in confidence about their worries. The BDA CareLine is unable to give individual medical advice, as your doctor or diabetes nurse specialist is in the best position to do this, but it can be very reassuring to talk to someone who understands, and can give you the opportunity and time, to dicuss difficult or distressing situations or feelings. The BDA CareLine deals with calls and letters on a wide range of subjects related to diabetes including hypoglycaemia, employment, pregnancy, insurance, driving, tablets, insulin, diet and many, many more, and can send you information from a range of BDA leaflets.
