We are all well aware that we should try and live healthier, but making big changes often seems like a scary commitment to make. The solution is not to put off living a healthy, but to instead gently ease yourself into a healthier lifestyle.

Signing up for a gym membership or starting a new workout class is a big step, especially if you’re not sure whether you will able to stick to your new workout regime in the first place. If you’re new to working out, try working out from the comfort of your own home instead. This will make sure the motivation to exercise is there while saving you a little cash too!

If you want to take it one step further, you can invest in home workout equipment, such as a pull-up bar, a pair of dumbbells, and a workout mat – though your carpet will be fine when you first get started.

The effect your mental health can have on your body is scary. You can work out three times a week and eat clean everyday but if you feel like you can’t get a peaceful moment and are constantly stressed then you still won’t feel at your best.

Mindfulness and meditation are popular right now, and rightfully so. It’s important that you prioritise your mental wellbeing as much as your physical health and there are plenty of apps that can help you with this. Find one that works for you and make sure you don’t neglect any aspect of your health or wellbeing.
