Members of the AoR, or Association of Reflexologists, are running taster sessions in reflexology, which offer both demonstrations and promotions, to tie in with World Reflexology Week, which runs from the 24th-30th September 2012. It will be very easy to find a participating reflexologist near you, and as the AoR are this year placing the emphasis on how mens health can be improved through reflexology, why not think about booking one of these taster sessions for the special man in your life? What is reflexology? Reflexology is a gentle, non-intrusive complementary therapy that encourages the body to work naturally to restore and maintain its own healthy balance. A reflexologist works on points on the feet or hands, but it may also be performed on the ears and face. Reflexology can be used to achieve a sense of wellbeing and as a way to relax the mind and body. Reflexology may also help with the management of a number of health related matters such as: relieve of tension, stress and anxiety, pain management and injury recovery, improving mood and as an aid to relaxation and sleep. Association of Reflexologists (AoR) The AoR is at the forefront in developing professional practice in reflexology and representing its members in the world of complementary therapy. The AoR provides a ‘voice’ for the profession through its place on the Profession Specific Board of Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), a voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners.
